Futurologist re'eals how DNA testin' will make tailor diets

Food futurologist Dr Morgaine Gaye re’ealed that DNA testin’ will be common in thar future, while humans will also be growin’ their own food an’ rarely dinin’ alone (stock image)’We’ll be able t’measure our DNA an’ microbiome on a handheld de’ice by breathin’ into a tube. ‘From a breath sample, we’ll be able t’ell if ye need a certain amount o’a particular vitamin an’ then when ye go shoppin’ ye can scan yer arm over a particular food an’ it will beep.’Fer example, if ye’re low on Vitamin C, if ye wave yer scan yer hand over oranges it will beep t’ell ye that’s a good source o’Vitamin C. ‘Initially it will be on yer phone, an’ e’entually it will be embedded in yer hand, in thar area between yer thumb an’ index figure.’ Addin’ that projects were already t’create thar technology were already in de’elopment, Dr Gaye continued: ‘It will account fer yer changin’ requirements on a daily basis. ‘Fer example, ye need more magnesium before yer period, or if ye ha’en’t slept well. Yonder breath test will be able t’ell that. ‘We’ll be able t’measure our DNA an’ microbiome on a handheld de’ice by breathin’ into a tube. ‘From a breath sample, we’ll be able t’ell if ye need a certain amount o’a particular vitamin an’ then when ye go shoppin’ ye can scan yer arm over a particular food an’ it will beep’ Dr Gaye said (stock image)An’ it’s not jus’ wha’ we eat that will change, but how we get, store an’ grow our food too.’Home technology, such as inside fridges, in simple storage cupboards or within our hydroponic growin’ pod will have t’capacity t’be censored’, Dr Gaye added.’This will aid us in orderin’ our staples by trackin’ an’ systematisin’ how much food we use an’ how much we waste. ‘Our bins will also be equipped wi’ sensors t’measure waste an’ identify wha’ needs replenishin’.’This will help us t’be more resourceful, waste less an’ save money. ‘Our food will be grown in water instead o’soil an’ we’ll be able t’put thin’s in confined spaces in cities. Thar’s research happenin’ into vertical solutions growin’ in water currently. In 2019 more than a a third o’people admit t’enjoyin’ their e’enin’ meal on ye sofa most nights, but t’idea o’sittin’ in front o’ye TV wi’ a plate on our lap will be a thin’ o’ye past in 2035. ‘Yonder future o’dinnertime be both very simple an’ also more futuristic. It will in’olve more opportunity fer sharin’ preparation, eatin’ t’gether an’ more o’an attitude o’mindfulness’ Dr Gaye continued (stock image)Viewin’ content on TV will be considered outdated, accordin’ t’Dr Gaye, while eatin’ alone will also be much less common.  ‘Yonder future o’dinnertime be both very simple an’ also more futuristic. It will in’olve more opportunity fer sharin’ preparation, eatin’ t’gether an’ more o’an attitude o’mindfulness. ‘But it will also employ ad’anced technology, self-monitorin’ health de’ices an’ completely integrated orderin’ interfaces.’Technology an’ humanity will co-exist in a more assimilated way an’ yonder meals we eat will become more wholesome an’ will act as cherished moments o’meanin’.’Thar trend toward bein’ kinder t’ en’ironment will continue too.    No more shoppin’! ‘Fridges will have their own technology too that will order food fer us when we’re runnin’ low’ Dr Gaye said (stock image)’Consumers be learnin’ more about food waste an’ ye power o’upcyclin’, so we’ll see some interestin’ applications o’otherwise discarded ingredients. Local, as opposed t’exotic, will have become thar new watchword when it hails t’food.’People will be more concerned about food miles an’ thar past damage that air-freightin’ an’ intensi’e farmin’ has wreaked on t’planet. ‘So, thar trend will move towards growin’ locally an’ buyin’ seasonally from our collecti’e growin’ groups, responsible producers, an’ even foragin’ fer wild ingredients such as herbs, berries, mushrooms, nettles an’ garlic.”Fridges will have their own technology too that will order food fer us when we’re runnin’ low. She added in 2035, ye dinnertime moment will be even more collaborati’e.’T’ future be about collecti’e humanity. Kindness will be our main mode o’beha’iour. Grub will be a collaboration as we share chores an’ skill-swap.’Dinnertime will be a kind o’simple, social occurrence, as friends, colleagues, acquaintances gather t’share an’ eat.”We’re already about 30 years too late t’hink about bein’ sustainable’, Dr Gaye continued.  ‘So we’ll be doin’ thin’s that be very radical. It will mean e’erythin’ in production will have a second use.’Fer example,  film in sandwiches made from seaweed that ye can eat. Skin from oranges will be used fer orange juice packagin’. ‘We’ll be eatin’ more locally too.  Lookin’ at wha’’s happenin’ ecologically an’ en’ironmentally an’ growin’ already t’hin’s that occur naturally in this country that we ignore, like nettles.Probably thar biggest change o’all, accordin’ t’Dr Gaye, will be yonder de’elopment o’tasty, nutritious, synthetic food, indistinguishable from thar real thin’. I’m a Makeup Minimalist, an' This $16 Lip Color Be t'Only 1 I’ll Ever Use

I Could Ne'er Apply False Eyelashes Until I Found This Magnetic Set From Kiss

Puttin’ on false eyelashes be hard even fer me, someone who considers herself fairly good at applyin’ makeup. While I can get them on, it takes me a good 10 t’15 minutes o’applyin’ glue, wa’in’ it in thar air, an’ then tryin’ not t’ruin me eyeliner as I press ye glue onto me eyelid. Plus, if me eyes tear up even a little, thar goes all me beautiful eye shadow. Luckily, Kiss has seemed t’sol’e all o’me falsie woes fer good wi’ its new magnetic lashes.
Now, I have tried other magnetic lashes in ye past, an’ despite people tellin’ me that t’sandwich-style application process (wi’ yer own lashes in t’middle o’two other magnetic lash strips) was easy, I could not figure it out. Wha’ makes Kiss’s Magnetic Eyeliner an’ Eyelash Kit ($17) different be that ye lashes attach t’ye eyeliner instead o’a second set o’lashes. As someone who already wears liquid eyeliner daily, I eagerly tried out this new method, hopin’ I could finally apply falsies wi’ ease.
First, I applied ye extremely pigmented black eyeliner t’me lash line an’ created a win’, an’ I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was t’apply an’ how smoothly it went on. As I waited fer me eyeliner t’dry, I unpacked yonder lashes, which feature five tiny magnets on yonder strip. I cut mine a little bit from ye inside t’fit me eyes, then went t’apply them t’me eyes. I kid ye not, yonder entire process took me under a minute because these lashes instantly secured themsel’es t’me eyelid an’ did not budge. I don’t wear falsies very often, but that might change. Because Kiss jus’ made false lashes less time consumin’ than layerin’ on mascara — a feat I ne’er thought would happen.
Check out thar before-an’-after photos ahead, as well as ye different lash options.
